The Wyss Foundation is proud to announce a CHF (Swiss Franc) 120,000,000 grant to support the Wyss Center for Bio and Neuroengineering, a research organization that innovates and accelerates technologies and therapies to transform the lives of people with neurological and mental health disorders. The grant will power a bold new plan for transformational technologies in artificial intelligence as well as bio- and neuroengineering to restore essential neural functions or reset abnormal neural circuits in people living with debilitating brain and mental health disorders.

“Neurological and mental health disorders place a heavy demand on families, societies, and healthcare systems and this is set to increase in the coming decades. A new approach is urgently needed. Thanks to the Wyss Foundation, and together with our clinical, industry, and academic partners in Switzerland and internationally, the Wyss Center is poised to drive clinical breakthroughs to improve the lives of people with brain disorders,” said Professor Erwin Böttinger, chief executive officer of the Wyss Center.
