Annalisa Shehab

Annalisa Shehab is an Ecosystem Science and Management student at the University of Michigan’s School for Environment and Sustainability. A childhood of outdoor exploration led to her love of the natural world. Through early exposure to piping plover conservation along Lake Michigan, she realized that she could pursue a career dedicated to protecting the places and wildlife she found so special. She earned her B.S. in Environmental Science from the University of Oregon, where she served as a Pathways Intern with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, researching fuel reduction treatments in Northern Spotted Owl habitat. Annalisa later worked as an Assistant Natural Areas Steward, where she discovered a passion for community-based conservation and collaboration with community scientists.
