Jack Lugo

Jack serves as the Policy Fellow for the Native American Land Conservancy, an Indigenous-led nonprofit organization that works to acquire, preserve, and protect sacred lands through land acquisition, education, cultural programming, and the surveying and monitoring of Tribal historic properties. Jack brings experience in government, community relations, and public service. He began his career as an intern at the California State Capitol for assemblymember James Ramos, where he supported legislative efforts and constituent outreach. He later returned to serve as a Field Representative in the San Bernardino District Office, focusing on community engagement and Tribal initiatives. Most recently, he worked as the Administrative Assistant to the Morongo Fire Department, supporting departmental operations, budgeting, and organizational planning. At the Native American Land Conservancy, he contributes to efforts that create meaningful, community-driven impacts for Native American Communities. Jack attends the University of Redlands, where he studies Business Administration with a minor in Public Policy. He is deeply committed to supporting Native communities, strengthening leadership and policy efforts, and advancing lasting change.
