Liz Crandall

Associate Director of Digital Advocacy, conservation lands foundation


Liz is the Associate Director of Digital Advocacy for Conservation Lands Foundation, an organization that protects, restores, and expands the National Conservation Lands through education, advocacy, and partnerships. Her passions include protecting nature and the environment, advocating for underrepresented groups and individuals, and collaborating with a diverse array of people. Liz has extensive experience in working with wildlife, rural communities, park and forest rangers, Indigenous tribes, and conservationists. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Tourism, Recreation, and Adventure Leadership with a minor in Natural Resources from Oregon State University Cascades, where she earned the Most Distinguished Student Award in her graduating class. 

Liz worked in Recreation, Fire, and Natural Resources for the U.S. Forest Service for nine years. During her time in federal service, Liz graduated from the National Emerging Leader Program class of 2024, reported and fought numerous wildfire incidents, earned her Leave No Trace Instructor Level 1 certification, and is a Wilderness First Responder. Liz is an advocate for public lands and the people who protect them. She is currently a member of Deschutes Land Trust’s Emerging Conservationists of Central Oregon 2026 cohort.
