Malik Geraci

Land Project Fellow, Open Space Institute

Malik is based in New York, New York and serves as the Land Project Fellow for the Open Space Institute, a conservation land trust that has protected thousands of acres of land across the East Coast.  Through his two-year fellowship, Malik will work with the Institute’s Lands team to acquire and protect land for the benefits of soil, water, and biodiversity conservation. He hopes to increase public open space in the Northeast and improve access to the outdoors for New York City's historically underrepresented communities. Malik previously lived in Colorado where he worked with forest service districts and environmental nongovernmental organizations in the conservation, stewardship, and sustainability sectors.
