(Washington, DC) August 26, 2021:  The Wyss Foundation is proud to announce a grant of $300,000 to support the National Health Law Program (NHeLP). For over five decades, NHeLP has worked to protect and advance the health rights of low income and underserved individuals through advocacy, education, and litigation at the federal and state levels.

“It is no secret that COVID-19 has disproportionately affected low-income families and individuals,” says Molly McUsic, President of the Wyss Foundation. “The Wyss Foundation is proud to contribute to NHeLP’s tireless work to defend and expand health care for underserved populations.”

“The COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated the importance of providing access to affordable, quality health care coverage free from discrimination,” said Elizabeth Taylor, NHeLP’s Executive Director. “At this time of great uncertainty and anxiety, the Wyss Foundation’s support has greatly contributed to our ability to fight for those most in need.”
