Nikki Chopra

Nikki Chopra is a lifelong environmental conservation advocate pursuing a Master’s in ecosystem science and communication at the University of Michigan School of Environment and Sustainability. Always having felt a deep connection to local wildlife and natural spaces, Nikki decided on a career in conservation years before beginning her higher education at Michigan State University. There, she acquired a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies and Sustainability with a focus on public policy. During her final year of undergraduate studies, Nikki worked as a Climate Action Fellow with the Michigan Community Service Commission, helping implement capacity-building initiatives for environmental non-profits across the state. From there, she joined the Wayne County Sustainability & Innovation division, working to enhance urban conservation strategies while meeting the needs of underserved communities.
