Hannah Adkins

University of montana - Environmental Studies


Hannah Adkins developed her interest in land conservation and water contamination while growing up around mining towns in West Virginia and experiencing the direct effects of habitat destruction on public health and the natural environment. At the Miami University of Ohio, she earned dual bachelor's degrees in zoology and environmental science, specializing in limnology and climate solutions. Hannah is pursuing a Master's Degree in Environmental Studies at the University of Montana, where she researches the effects of past land use on nutrient and mining pollution in the Clark Fork River. Hannah serves as the vice chair of MontPIRG, advocating for the cleanup of lands and rivers and other environmental initiatives.
