Sterling Homard

Outreach and campaigns associate, Center for Western Priorities

Sterling is a design enthusiast, musician, and climber with a strong passion for connecting with the outdoors in whatever way possible, as long as it shows a deep appreciation for our beautiful public lands. He currently serves as the Outreach and Campaigns Associate at the Center for Western Priorities (fiscally sponsored by Resources Legacy Fund), a conservation advocacy organization based in Denver, Colorado. Before moving to Colorado, Sterling was a volunteer organizer in Minneapolis, Minnesota where he led volunteer events to assist local nonprofits by providing in-kind resources.

He is passionate about expanding protections for Western lands and waters by preserving vital ecosystems and wildlife corridors that face threats like mining, drilling, drought, and wildfires. His support of Center for Western Priorities’ conservation campaigns will ensure that policymakers prioritize robust co-management with Tribal leaders, and recognize the cultural, historic, and restorative significance of our lands.
